Haiti - World Cup U-17 : Our Grenadiers dominate Honduras [2-0] in the Elimination Phase

Wednesday in Bradenton, Florida, at the IMG Academy Sports Complex, as part of the FIFA U-17 World Cup qualifiers (World Cup Brazil 2019) in the Confederation of North America zone, the Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF), our young Grenadiers U-17, in Group G, faced Honduras that they dominated and defeated [2-0].

After the brilliant victory of El Salvador [4-0] against Guyana in the first match of Group G (at the top of the ranking) our national team had no other choice that a victory to keep all their chances in this phase

Victory won thanks to the goals of Corlens Étienne in the first period on penalty at 11' [1-0] and Fredler Christophe still in the first period 45' + 1' [2-0].

After the break, despite the efforts of the Hondurans in the second half, the score remained unchanged in favor of Haiti, who won the 3 points and ranks 2nd in Group G.

Group G Ranking :
1. El Salvador: 3 points +4
2. Haiti: 3 points +2
3. Honduras: 0 points -2
4. Guyana: 0 point -4

Friday, May 3, Haiti will face El Salvador at 8:00 am
